Service Description

The Leland Room comfortably seats up to 12 guests and is ideal for small group meals, strategy sessions, board breakfasts, private meetings, and intimate gatherings. Located within the Houston Community Land Trust headquarters, this welcoming space provides an inviting setting for conversation, collaboration, and connection. Your reservation time must include setup and breakdown, not just the event itself. Kitchen access is available as an add on. Outside vendors and licensed caterers are welcome with advance notice. Please complete the booking form to reserve this space. Our team will review your request and send a confirmation email once your booking has been reviewed. Community Legacy The Leland Room is named in honor of former Congressman George Thomas "Mickey" Leland, whose legacy of service and advocacy continues to impact communities across Houston and beyond. Congressman Leland was a champion for addressing poverty and expanding access to essential needs, including healthcare, food, housing, and safety. His connection to HCLT's history continues through the work of the Barbara Jordan-Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs at Texas Southern University, whose research helped provide the framework for the founding of Houston Community Land Trust.
