Service Description
The Chase-Scott room is Houston Community Land Trust's largest dedicated meeting space, offering flexible layouts to accommodate a variety of gatherings, including community forums, training workshops, nonprofit board meetings, educational sessions, and professional events. Available setups include: Conference Setup: Up to 40 guests Classroom Setup: Up to 25 guests Boardroom Setup: Up to 25 guests Your preferred layout must be selected at booking, and table setup instructions must be submitted at least 48 hours before the event. Your reservation time must include setup and breakdown, not just the event itself. Outside vendors and licensed caterers are welcome with advance notice. Please complete the booking form to reserve this space. Our team will review your request and send a confirmation email once your booking has been reviewed. Community Legacy The Chase-Scott room is named in honor of two philanthropic partners who have supported the growth and mission of Houston Community Land Trust: the JPMorgan Chase Foundation and MacKenzie Scott. Their investment has helped HCLT expand its operations and continue advancing its commitment to creating opportunities for affordable homeownership.












Cancellation Policy
Confirmation and Deposits ____________________________ Your event is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email from HCLT. Deposits are not required for rental costs under $75.00. Cancellations ____________________________ Cancellations made more than 7 days before the event are eligible for a full refund of the deposit. Cancellations within 7 days of the event forfeit their deposit. Rental Time ____________________________ All rental times must account for setup and breakdown, not just the event itself. HCLT staff will not give instructions for vendor setup or breakdown. Vendors and Catering ____________________________ All outside vendors and caterers must be licensed. Guests are responsible for managing all vendors on site. Alcohol ____________________________ If alcohol is being served, a TABC licensed bartender is required to serve. Please email their license to events@houstonclt.org at least 3 days before the event. Parking ____________________________ Parking is available on both sides of the street and guests must not block any driveways. Additional parking is available at the Healthco Pharmacy after 6pm Monday through Friday and anytime on Saturday and Sunday. Outdoor Space and Noise ____________________________ A noise permit is required if music will be played in the outside space. All outside music must stop at 11pm. Space Rules ____________________________ No weapons, illegal drugs, or illegal activity are permitted on the premises. HCLT reserves the right to refuse rental to any person or group that does not align with its mission. Clean-Up ____________________________ HCLT is a no-smoking facility and any evidence of smoking will result in a $350 cleaning fee. All trash must be bagged and placed in the outdoor bins or a $250 cleaning fee will be charged. Damage ____________________________ Please report any damage to HCLT staff immediately. Unreported damage will incur the cost of repair plus a $100 administrative fee.
