COVID-19 Update from Houston Community Land Trust

Updated: Apr 8, 2020

Here at Houston Community Land Trust, we are committed to serving our clients and supporting the wellbeing of our homeowners and staff. To continue to support communities and families with access to affordable homeownership during this time, we are adapting our services in response to the impacts of COVID-19 in the greater Houston area. Here are some of the things we are doing now.

Houston Community Land Trust is suspending in-person meetings until further notice, including:

  • in-person application consultations

  • in-person information sessions

  • in-person open houses

  • in-person homebuyer orientation sessions.

We will make every effort to provide these services online via video or teleconference. We will notify clients when these services become available virtually. We will continue to work on:

  • reviewing new applications,

  • processing existing applications, and

  • continuing to support applicants who are moving through the income qualification and home buying process.

In keeping with public health recommendations, our offices will be closed and our staff will be working remotely during this time. There may be some delay in staff response times as we take measures to adapt to these precautions, but we continue to fulfill HCLT’s mission as efficiently and effectively as we can.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding our COVID-19 response, please reach out to us at info@houstonclt.org.

We thank you for your patience and understanding.

– The Team at Houston Community Land Trust
